Bev is our Senior Financial Planner. She opened her office in 1992, after an 18-year career as a Registered Nurse at Belleville General Hospital. As a full service, independent Financial Advisor, Beverly is a member of the Financial Planning Standards Council (FPSC) and the Responsible Investment Organization (RIO). She became a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) in 1998 and earned her Elder Planning Designation in 2011. She was also granted her Socially Responsible Investments (SRI) certification from the Ethical Funds Company.
Bev believes strongly in social and corporate responsibility, and by using Socially Responsible Investments, she helps clients to align their personal values with their financial goals.
She enjoys helping her clients to build a sustainable, tax-efficient retirement income while dealing with the complex planning issues that clients frequently encounter. Bev wants her clients to live well, send their kids to the best universities, enjoy the retirement they dream of and maybe even leave a legacy. In other words, she wants her clients to LIVE THEIR DREAMS.
Bev has two grown children and lives in Brighton with her husband, Gord. They enjoy walking, kayaking and biking in beautiful Presqu’ile Park as well as travelling to places that are off the beaten track.
Bev is committed to many charitable causes and supports the New Canadians Centre and Horizons of Friendship in Coboug, as well as Doctors Without Borders and the Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind. She has traveled with her family to Iquitos, Peru and La Paz Bolivia where they have contributed to village schools as well as maternal and children’s health.
Bev is a Puppy Walker for the Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind, and fosters puppies for 12 to 18 months, socializing them before they leave for formal training. One of the puppies, Riley, ended up staying with Bev and now works as our office greeter.
